Certification service
To receive certification services, obtain an electronic certificate and read the user guide. To obtain an electronic certificate, follow the steps below:
1. The first step is to provide an application form corresponding to the type of certificate you want:

individual if you intend to use it personally ;

corporation if you will use it on behalf of a private company ;

administration in the case of a public institution ;

operator if the certificate you apply for will be used for the activities of a registration authority.
2. After completing this form, you have to get registered by an authority and to pay a fee corresponding to the requested certificate. The required documents are the following:
The operator, after having registered your request, will provide you a receipt which contains a number. You should know that this receipt is valid for 15 days. If you do not use it within this period, you have to start the whole procedure.
3. Next step: find a secure terminal (computer, tablet, phone, etc.) where only you have access or at least where the access is regulated. Exit therefore cybercafes and public machines in offices! Connect to the site of the CamGovCA and click on "Generate a new certificate." Enter your receipt number when prompted and then create your password. This password will be requested every time you will use your certificate. You will also be asked to choose the location where you want to store your certificate. Equip yourself with a secure storage module or a smart card if it is possible. You will have anyway the opportunity to choose a USB key as storage space of your certificate or even the hard drive of your machine. Be aware that this will expose your certificate to corruption by viruses or theft.
4. After all these steps, your certificate will be created at the location you choosed. You can start using it.
