Registration Authority of ANTIC

ANTIC RA (ANTIC Registration Authority) is a solution that functions to register user identification data on the Cameroon Government Certification Authority (CamGovCA) for the management of the lifecycle of certificates. This is a necessary procedure under PKI-based security environments. ANTIC RA enables the more effective management of subscribers' certificates by accepting the international standard certification protocol RFC 2510/2511 as well as by managing user data.

Structure of ANTIC RA

 ANTIC RA Server

This server software performs such functions as administrator registration, user data management, various current status data, and log data management.

ANTIC RA Admin Toolkit

This Administrator's Toolkit provides security functions whenever RA central operator gets access to management functions for the RA Server.

ANTIC LRA Toolkit

This Toolkit provides user data management functions by applying the registration operator's application program when the registration operator is designated. It operates separately from the central operator.

ANTIC Cert Toolkit

This User Toolkit provides certificate issuance and abolition functions through the RFC 2510/2511 protocol.

Support for International Standard Certificate Protocol (RFC 2510/2511)

ANTIC RA is the Cameroonian server-based registration management solution that supports the issuance of user certificates through RFC 2510/2511.

Support for Tracking Service of Subscribers’ Status through Differentiated Management

In ANTIC RA, the processes of user registration and certificate issuance can be traced in detail down through user management interface. When any error occurs, the accurate causes of the errors may be quickly located and solved.

High Reliability and Stability

The ANTIC RA Server enables stable operation by automatically recovering processes in a bend since the processes are designed in a hierarchical architecture.

Powerful Security Functions

Supports powerful security functions during operator access such as access authorization and IP inspection by means of digital signatures and the encryption of user data.

Handling of User Certificates through RFC 2510/2511

The central management of user certificate issuance status is made possible by handling user certificate issuance and abolition processes through the RFC 2510/2511 protocol and message format.

Physical identification

RA Operator shall conduct face-to-face identification. This procedure is important when someone would like to obtain a digital certificate. The needed file depend on the type of certificate you apply for:

-       Administration/Institution: The certificate application form must be signed by the head of the structure: the President/Minister/Chancellor/Principal… For the Administration information, you must give the Budget Code, a file proving the original of the seal, for employee that will really use the certificate for the Administration: the National Identity Card. If the Attorney is necessary, he need to produce its National Identity Card, a letter signed by the hierarchy appointing him as Attorney.

-       Corporation (Public/Private): We distinguish two kinds of corporations: the public organization must produce the Budget Code and the private corporation must produce a copy of the Business Registration Number, the National Identity Card of the real user of the certificate, the name of the General Manager of the Corporation, the resolution of the Board of Directors appointing him as General Manager, The Attorney, the official file appointing him as Attorney

-       Individual: you must fill the form, produce your National Identity Card or the Resident Number (Only for foreigners). A foreigner can obtain it from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

NB: The organization is not force to have an Attorney when it is managing a LRA.

Easy Management

Details of various statistics and errors can be inquired about on the web-based management screen. The registration process can be managed through the enclosed LRA Toolkit when the separate registration manager is needed in a remote area.

Local RA management is installed at the level of each secured application for PKI system spread to facilitate certificate access management, to better serve certificate users.
